2021 – Working towards sponsoring a surgical resident through the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons
A large population of the world lives without access to basic medical care; moreover, so many would never have access to surgeries for congenital birth defects like cleft lip/palate or acute medical illnesses (i.e. appendicitis). Many individuals are stigmatized and ostracized from their communities due to deforming conditions, leaving them isolated, jobless, and emotionally distraught. We seek to support those who are providing surgeries, medical resources and to correct these issues. In late 2020 and 2021 we have raised $5,000 to go towards sponsoring a surgical resident in an African Country where the Pan African Academy of Christian Surgeons [paacs.net] teaches.
We are seeking other partners to help us bring the total being raised to $25,000. A small investment towards buidling sustainable surgical services in countries where people die every day for lack of access to surgery.
